A MAN has been arrested in connection with the murder of three girls under 10 found inside a US home in what police say is one of the most horrific crime scenes they have ever worked on.
Antonio Williams has been taken into custody by local cops in Clinton Maryland with police saying he has confessed to the slayings.
The 25-year-old lived on the same street as the home where the three girls were found.
He had reportedly been left there to look after the girls, his six-year-old sister Nadira Withers and cousins Ariana Decree, nine, and six-year-old Ajayah Decree, by his mum Andrena Kelley.
The bodies were reportedly discovered by Kelley who rang the police who found them stabbed to death at the scene.
Willams has been charged with three counts of first degree murder and three counts of second degree murder.
Cops rushed to the neighbourhood in Clinton, Maryland after an adult family member discovered the bodies, which police say show signs of ‘blunt force trauma’.
Although authorities have not disclosed further details of the “gruesome” killings, NBC Washington reports the girls “were found beaten to death”.

Counsellors have also been brought to the site to help first responding officers cope with the disturbing discovery.
Police department spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan said: “We are now in the midst of a major investigation into what happened to these children and who killed them.
“We have not determined who the person responsible is yet.”
The children were pronounced dead by firefighters. Donelan said they suffered “trauma to the body”.
“This is one of the most difficult scenes that our officers arrived on. We have counselling services here at the scene dealing with first arriving officers,” Donelan said, adding the neighbourhood is normally quiet.
Neighbours told local news outlets they saw two men being taken away in handcuffs.
Antonio Williams, 24, of Clinton, was arrested later on Friday, but no further details of the arrest have been released.
Police say Williams lived on the same street as the home where the three girls’ bodies were found.
The children’s names, ages and relation to each other have not yet been revealed.
Their relatives have been contacted and police tweeted that it is committed to “make and arrest & determine the motive” for the horrific murders.
