THE most dangerous cities in the US have been revealed – with St Louis named as the worst.
The Missouri hub was deemed least safe from a combined ranking of stats that included crime figures, natural disaster prevalence and financial safety data.

The WalletHub study took factors like terrorist attacks, earthquakes, fatalities, unemployment rates and more into consideration.
Following closely behind St Louis was Fort Lauderdale in Florida, which was considered slightly more safe.
In third place was San Bernadino, California, then Detroit, Michigan, in fourth and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in fifth.
Despite being ranked the least safe city, St Louis was only in one of the top five worst metrics.
It scored the second highest assaults per capita, below three cities that tied for the top position.

By comparison the safest city was deemed to be Columbia in Maryland – a metropolitan area made up of 10 villages.
This was followed by Yonkers in New York, Plano in Texas, Gilbert in Arizona and South Burlington in Vermont.
WalletHub, who conducted the study, wrote: “No one can avoid all danger, however, and we take on a certain level of risk based on where we choose to live.
“Some cities are simply better at protecting their residents from harm.
“Our data set ranges from assaults per capita to unemployment rate to road quality.”
Their study analyzed 180 cities across 41 safety indicators, which they ranked according to the level of danger.
SIX TIED FOR MOST HATE CRIMES
They found the city with most hate crimes per capita was tied between five different places.
They were: Seattle in Washington, Washington in DC, Boston in Massachusetts, Burlington in Vermont, Newark in New Jersey and Phoenix in Arizona.
The city where the least amount of hate crimes happened was Baltimore in Maryland.
The most assaults took place in Detroit, Michigan, Memphis, Tennessee, and Birmingham, Alabama, who all tied for top.
Meanwhile the fewest took place in Irvine, California.
MICHIGAN’S JOB STRUGGLES
The city with the most traffic fatalities was also an even split between Casper in Wyoming, Huntington in West Virginia, and Bakersfield in California.
The fewest happened in New York, New York.
The location with highest risk for natural disasters was deemed to be Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and least in Dover, Denver.
The spot with the highest unemployment rate was Detroit, Michigan.
The lowest was tied between South Burlington, Madison in Wisconsin, Honolulu in Hawaii, Fargo in Nevada, Burlington in Vermont, and San Francisco.
UTAH SAVES BEST
The city with the highest population of uninsured people was in Bronwsville, Texas, and lowest in Pearl City, Hawaii.
The areas with the lowest number of households with emergency savings were tied between Birmingham, Alabama, and four other places in Florida.
Those spots in the Sunshine state were: Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines.
